Welcome to Amigo Children’s
Dental!
Our Mission
To provide specialized, comprehensive oral health
care for infants, children, and adolescents in a fun, stress-free
environment that focuses on prevention and education. Our goal is to
help your child be healthy and enter adulthood free of dental
diseases and dental fears – with good oral health habits that will
last a lifetime.
Our staff backs up that mission with
special little touches that make our young patients feel more at
home; like spending more time getting to know them before they ever
sit in the dental chair. We offer them sunglasses so the
examination lights won’t hurt their eyes. To keep younger children
busy, we provide coloring books and toys. The special gift,
received before departure, is an Amigo Children’s Dental tradition
that keeps our patients ready for a return visit.
Our Philosophy
Dr. Hunt’s primary interest is to ensure the
comfort and safety of your child. We encourage a proactive approach
to dental care and believe that preventive care can result in more
effective, less costly, and less traumatic dental treatment for your
child. Since we specialize in children, our office and staff is
specially designed for their age-appropriate needs.
What is a Pediatric Dentist?
Pediatric dentists, or “pedodontists”, specialize
in dentistry that is devoted exclusively to children. It requires
additional years of training in a pediatric residency beyond general
dentistry. Pedodontists are trained specifically in growth and
development, child psychology, medical complications, treatment of
children with special needs, and orthodontic treatment.
